I came to the US from Syria to continue my education. At the age of 19- years old, my parents sent me a letter advising me to introduce myself and meet a believer and beautiful 16 years old young girl her name is Manar who was about to immigrate to the US from Jordan. A year later, we got married. We have experienced God’ faithfulness who preserved our marriage and our family, “For now I have chosen and consecrated this house that my name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time.2CHR7” The Lord abundant blessings of having four Children and six Grandchildren and on one the way.

In 1996, the Lord called us to begin a home bible study. The new Bible Study becoming a Church plant to the Arabic and Muslim’s community whom we have a deep love for them which has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. The new Church plan became a loving Body of Christ made of beautiful redeemed and delivered families who loved each other’s.

In the Year 2004, the Lord placed an open door before our Church to launch Coffee House ministry. The purpose of the Coffee House ministry is to reach every Arabic and Muslim household in the greater Sacramento region.

In October 2006, we changed the Coffee house ministry into community outreach ministry called, Arab American Learning Center. Few months after, waves of refugees began to settle next to us from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria.

Today the Arab American Learning Center reaches out to the Arabic and Muslim Community in Sacramento. In order to deliver the Gospel, we must build a bridge between the Church and the Refugees’ Community through practical love and sacrificial services such as:

  • Refugees’ Support Services: Our team welcome the refugees’ families into our center to help them settle in the United States, enroll in local public schools, find them work, make Dr. Appointments, fill applications, walk them through obtaining Driver Lc and many other services.

  • Community outreaches, every year we bless the community with many fun activities. Spring break activities, Back to School Outreach, Refugees’ Summer Camp, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Outreach

  • Social services outreach: Our ministry team invites the ladies for ladies’ tea celebration, donation day, home visitation and many other services

  • ESL classes: We offer Women only ESL classes, Children tutoring and children program

In the year 2018 the Lord has blessed our ministry and entrusted us with 7 building campus. The Campus is being equipped and fixed to be used for full ministry.

  • Church worship Center: after over 20 years The Arabic Community will celebrate worship in our own facility. Discipleship and Sunday School classes

  • Community Center outreach: Will be helping refugees and newcomers to settle in the new land, ESL classes, Donation items, Ladies Tea, Sport program, Library ministry and many other services

  • Living Water Preschool Academy: The Academy will serve the refugees Children.

On Dec 14th at 8:20pm the Lord gave us favor with the County officials and they granted our ministry a full County Use Permit.

This isn’t a career which we have chosen, but He chose us and appointed us that we should go and bear fruit that will last. “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. John 15:15”
